If you desire a “trial” application of traditional cosmetics to get an idea of what the shape, color and placement of the permanent makeup will look like, this must be done at a separate appointment and a fee of $75.00 will be charged. Note that $50 of this fee will be applied to your procedure costs if you book an appointment for the permanent makeup within 30 days. If you book an appointment for a procedure, adequate time is allowed for custom design, penciling and shaping of the procedure area for no additional fee.
Permanent Makeup Fees
- Permanent Makeup Fees
The fees for your permanent makeup cover the design process, complete review of medical history, topical anesthetic, equipment with all disposable, sterile needles and supplies, skin analysis, color selection and custom blending of the selected colors, technicians expertise, complete after-care kit with printed instructions and one follow-up visit if any touch-up work is needed.
Before your appointment
- Before your appointment
If you have any condition that you are under on-going medical care for, you must disclose this before scheduling an appointment so we can evaluate your situation and determine if you are a candidate for the process. Pregnant or nursing women or anyone under the age of 18 will not be considered as a candidate for permanent makeup.
If you are insulin dependant diabetic, or have glaucoma and use prescriptioneye drops for this condition, or have any other serious medical condition that you are being treated for, you must inform us in advance of this condition. It may be fine to proceed with your appointment but sometimes we require a release from your treating physician.
Please refrain from the use of Advil (Ibuprofen), Aleve, Aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, Coumadinor, or other prescription medications that promote thinning of the blood for 7 days before and 2 days after any procedure. NO MEDICATION SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING YOUR PHYSICIAN. We do not want to encourage any unnecessary bleeding. Alcohol constitutes a blood-thinner so refrain from drinking alcohol within the 48 hours leading up to your appointment.
If you are using Retin-A or other retinoid based skin products, you must discontinue these products for 5 days prior to your procedure.
If you are having lip procedures and have any history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex, you will be required to contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks. You must start taking this medicine 2 days prior to your procedure and a few days after treatment. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE MADE TO THIS RULE. You must provide proof of the prescription or your appointment will be rescheduled.
For eyebrows and eyeliner, do not have any eyelash or eyebrow tinting, or eyelash curling/perming within 48 hours of your procedure. Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure; electrolysis no less than five days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least one week. should be done no sooner than 48 hours before or two weeks after the procedure.
If you are pre-menstrual or menstruating you will be more pain sensitive.
Every effort is made during your procedure to make you comfortable with the
use of topical anesthetics. Try to plan your procedure so it does not fall at this point of your monthly cycle.
Appointment booking and canceling is important, so please plan appropriately. We provide individual appointments with adequate time for personalized service and attention to detail. Unlike doctors who schedule 5 patients at a time in different rooms, or long waiting room times, we run on schedule and see one client at a time. You are given exclusive time for your quality service. If you must cancel or reschedule please do so at least 48 hours in advance.
Day of your appointment

Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition which is usually in two days. You may want to have someone drive you to and from your appointment.
Wear your normal makeup and bring your eyeliner, lip or brow pencils to the office on the day of the procedure.
Immediate Aftercare
- Immediate Aftercare
In some cases there may be swelling and or redness. Keep all treated areas clean and moist. Do not pick, scratch, or rub while the area is healing. Loss of color and/or infection may result. Within 5-9 days the pigmented area will fade approximately 30-50%. A follow-up appointment is scheduled to view the results after fading is completed. Apply vitamin A&D ointment for 7 to 10 days, always using a clean cotton swab. Do not use other “home remedies” during this time. Avoid sun tanning or long periods of direct sunlight exposure for 10 to 14 days. Stay out of hot tubs and refrain from swimming for 7 to 10 days. Normal activities may be resumed immediately after your procedure.
Schedule follow up appointment 4-6 weeks after initial procedure. Two appointments are usually necessary to achieve and complete most permanent make-up procedures. The first visit of the process is the Saturation visit. The following visit is known as the Focus visit. As the names imply, the Saturation visit accomplishes the basic design and color saturation, and the Focus visit addresses perfection by focusing on balance, symmetry and detail of the healed result. Both appointments must be within 2 months of each other. If longer that 2 months additional touch-up fees will be required.
Long-Term Aftercare
- Long-Term Aftercare
To minimize color loss, apply a 30+ sun block (the stronger the better) prior to exposure to the sun or any UV light. If you are planning a chemical peel, Laser, MRI or other medical procedure, please inform your physician of your cosmetic tattoo. Be aware that lasers are damaging to all cosmetic tattooing pigments.
Cosmetic Tattooing requires maintenance as all color fades. The amount of fading depends on several variables including medications and topical treatments, but is primarily due to sun (ultra-violet) exposure; therefore a color assessment appointment can be scheduled at the end of the first year. If a Touch-Up is needed, the charge is $150.00 per procedure. If the 1st year Touch-Up is determined unnecessary, the charge for the 2nd year Touch-Up is $250, 3rd year Touch-Up is $350. If a Color Assessment is not performed by the fourth year, a new Consultation must be scheduled and a new price quote will be given. Clients with previous permanent makeup performed by another technician will be charged the full price regardless of the procedure.
